Position Description:
In this position, you will join our analog & mixed-signal team in developing ASICs for the next generation of solid-state radiation detectors. This position offers you the opportunity to make an impact in medical science, making new innovations in medical imaging a reality via implementation in CMOS VLSI System-On-Chip. You will be part of the team developing the high-speed analog frontend electronics for signal processing and data conversion in the readout detector.
Job Responsibilities
·       Understand circuit requirements for analog modules, define simulations criteria and optimize circuit to meet the specifications.
·       Work with layout engineers for floor-planning, device matching and routings consideration.
·       Perform post-layout verification for designed modules and integrate completed modules for top-level simulation.
·       Design internal test for individual modules, plan test procedures and debug fabricated prototypes.
Requirements
·       Knowledge of analog & mixed signal circuit design and analog HDL behavioral modeling
·       Understanding of CMOS technology and CMOS circuits techniques.
·       Familiar with IC design development flow
o   IC design development environment
o   IC design development tools
·       Design experience in one or more area of CMOS circuits listed below is an advantage:
o   current-mode techniques - preamplifiers and DAC
o   Signal processing - such as filters and shapers
o   high-speed interfaces - such as LVDS
o   high-speed data conversion - such as TDC in time domain and ADC in voltage domain.
o   high speed oscillators and phase-locked-loops
·       Experience in running top-level co-simulation of the analog IP with the digital IP for functional verification is also an advantage.
·       Education qualification and experience
o   More than 4 years design experience required for bachelor degree.
o   Dissertation related to analog IC design is required for master degree and PhD.
